I think in 1958 they came out with a Yeoman….but as far as I know all wagons 58 and up were 4 doors….I could be wrong…no expert here, more knowledge on chevelles, camaros, novas and corvettes here….

The Handymans did have rear windows where the sedan deliverys did not, just metal panels. As for a ’55 hearse, I couldn’t say, I have never seen one…

I’m trying to learn the different chevy’s and I didnt know about handymans. Whats the difference between a handyman and delivery? Windows? And what would be difference between hearse and handyman?

AND a forward-slanting tailgate with vertical moldings resulting in a shorter roof-line along with forward-slanting B-pillars.

This is a 210, the 150 had no chrome and just rubber around the windshield. You could get a Handyman in the 150 series and the 210.

Great car!! but it looks like a 210 wagon
the 150 had little or no chrome I was told that was the handyman

    • grumpydan1
    • September 24, 2012

No the car originally had chrome bumpers but when it was painted years ago the owner painted them. These cars were designed for utility work like flower shops and painters, etc. There was also available a 150 Handyman with less chrome, a lower spec model and of course the Nomad was higher end with all the chrome.

Beautiful ! What was a handyman special ? You mention painted bumpers so was it a lower spec model ?

A friend built this car 20 years ago..yes the paint is that old. He started with a super solid, rust free body. I added the wheels after buying it 5 years ago and just replaced his painted bumpers with the chrome ones.
