I just saw these in Ostend tonight (7 April 2011), but in cyan. Anyone living around here, take a look around the breakwaters. I knew it had to be bioluminescence but it was hard not to think that I was hallucinating.

I just saw it for the first time, it was glass like water and raining. The drops looked like green stars flashing for 1/2 a second each all over the water. It was amazing.
