SANDAG reports our favorite beach in Encinitas – Moonlight Beach – is finally getting sand – October 9 to 16
Sand placement in the City of Encinitas is scheduled for late October – early November. As equipment is placed and pipes are brought onshore, please use caution while on the beach and in the water. All areas will be clearly marked. At times, escorts will be provided between Batiquitos Beach and Moonlight Beach to ensure beachgoer safety.
Moonlight Beach: Sand placement is scheduled to begin the week of October 21 and last approximately five days. Equipment placement is scheduled to begin October 11. A large offshore pipe will land on the beach around October 12.

Cardiff Beach: Sand placement is scheduled to begin in late October and last approximately three days. A large offshore pipe will land on the beach around October 15.
Batiquitos Beach: Sand placement is scheduled to begin in early November and last approximately six days. Equipment placement will begin in late October.
